August projects by Tartine Peluche

Hi everyone!
I'm back today for share with you a few inspiration for the new collection''WANDERLUST'' from Blue Fern Studios, and also one layout from ''GARDEN LIFE''
Two wonderful collections!!!

PLAYGROUND

My first layout is created from the paper ''MOUNTAIN VIEW'' I used side B.

At first I stamped several parts of the stamp '' DEPARTURE''
I put the accent on green and brown on my background to bring out my photo, unfortunately, we don't see very well, it was rather pale initially.

At the top of my page, I used WANDERLUST VINE and LACE 4 with a piece of WHIMSY FLOURISH chipboard to start my layout.
WHIMSY FLOURISH was embossed with HOT COCOA embossing powder.

I used a piece of LACE 3 to separate the background from my photo.

In order, starting from the bottom, we can see a piece of
WHIMSY FLOURISH embossed with HOT COCOA embossing powder.
Then a part of chipboard CORNER FLOURISH embossed with AVOCADO embossing powder
and on the top, under the picture, I used SWALLOW BORDER,
also embossed with  HOT COCOA embossing powder .
The small boat, it is I who did it, with some pieces of wood found outside.

I cut the title in two. I wanted to use both parts but I could'nt find
the good place for the second piece. What gives only as title: PLAYGROUND.
I used the embossing powder SUMMER BREEZE.

Here is in close-up the effect rendered by this magnificent chipboard.

To finish this layout, here in close-up the flowers I used, from the kits WANDERLUST LILIES and WANDERLUST VINE.
We don't see very well but I put on all flowers a little bit of MELTED BUTTER glitter.

----------------------------------------------------------

SETTING SAIL
For the second layout, I used side B of LAKESIDE paper.

For my background: white gesso, ink and glitter.
I maked flakes with RUSSETT glitter and I added just a little shiny with VINTAGE JADE glitter.
All this makes the LACE 4 more showy.

I used the chipboard NATURAL FRAME to accentuate my photo.
It was embossed with STORMY SKIES embossing powder.

We see more the chipboard NATURAL FRAME on this picture.
Let's talk about the majestic flowers ... I'm in love with the WANDERLUST LILIES flowers!!!

SETTING SAIL was embossed with HOT COCOA embossing powder.
Really beautiful color!!!

Here is a close-up of photo part.

To finish, I used patterned rings from WANDERLUST PATTERNED CHIPBOARD.
They are beautiful, repeating the wooden pattern of the paper I used.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

And here is my last one:

BE A PINEAPPLE ...

I used a paper from the collection Garden life for this one: SUN KISSED.

For the background, pieces of chipboard QUILTED PAGE PANEL, ink, modeling paste and white gesso ... a lot of gesso! to fade my colors ultra flash. I rarely use colors also showy...
Look like these beautiful flowers! They are from kit GARDEN BLOOMS.

WILD FLOURISH BUNDLE was embossed with BABY PINK embossing powder.

I used SUNLIGHT ROSE embossing powder on my piece of LAYERING STEMS chipboard and peach ATTIC CHARM DAISIES.

April projects by Tartine Peluche

Hello everybody!
Today I come back to present my layouts of month.
Each of it is created from the new collection SPRING PARADE.

For beginning, here is my first layout:

- DREAM HAVE NO LIMITS -

I used the B side of the paper "Remembrance".
I worked a lot on my background with stencils and different mediums.

I used the beautiful chipboard " Wild flourish bundle ".
To start I put gesso and then embossed with the new color coordinated to the collection
Spring parade: PINK DUST, a beautiful pale pink with golden glitter.

A little closer, you can see all the softness of the color, I really love it.
In this picture we can also see that I embossed with " Making plan stamp" a few places with PINK DUST embossing powder.

I chose to use the flowers of the collection HARVEST LILLIE.
To give them a little punch more I painted the petals with golden paint.

 "

Blue Fern Studios I've used:
Paper:
Spring Parade - Remembrance
Chipboards:
Wild flourish bundle
Imagine Ink Powder
Pink Dust
Stamps:
Making plan
Flowers:
Harvest Lillies

------------------------------------

- WONDER -

For my second layout I used Susie's Garden, Spring Petite and June paper of SPRING PARADE.
First to make my background I used the paper "June" That I worked with paint and ink.
With the other two papers I cut  some flowers to decorate my photo.

The main color of my layout is given by LAVENDER EGGS embossing powder which I used  for the
Whimsy flourishes chipboard and some die cut of leaf stamped.

For my Title, I embossed with Lavender eggs embossing powder. but as I did not like the result with the l
eaf of the same color I painted it with a white 3D paint. The final result leaves some glitter on the title.
My Flowers are from the new collection CHESTERVILLE, Chesterville Florals.

 l

I cut on the paper " Small Spring" on the small picture of paper "Sunday Best" the flowers that are on the  right of my photo.

And on the Susie's Garden paper I cut the flowers drawn in the top of the paper ...

Blue Fern Studios products I've used:
Paper:
June
Small Spring
Susie's Garden
Chipboards:
Whimsy Flourishes
Wish, Wonder, Dream
Imagine Ink Embossing Powder:
Lavender Eggs
Flowers:
Chesterville Florals

------------------------------------

This one is my fav of month.
I wanted a page without a picture but with a thought.
I knew I was going to do a layout like this, I wanted to give a thematic : Wings, Fly, Fall,  Get up ... Since the layout starts from above and falls down, held by a thread,
So I chose the quote : What if I fall ...

Unlike my other two pages I did not work a background in 3D texture, but rather in effect of color contrast ...
And I must confess that it was difficult to take pictures. You will see on zoom that the page is much paler than the whole picture. This creation is very gentle in reality. Sorry for not having succeeded better take a picture.

- WHAT IF I FALL -

I chose the paper "Marketplace" of Spring parade collection. I think this is the most beautiful in
the collection, softness color and a subtile pattern of lace.

For the chipboard title, " Story" I embossed it in white then I embossed the half in lavander.
I used imaginie ink SNOW embossing powder and LAVANDER EGGS .

 l

I chose " Late Winter Lilies " for this project. I think I could not find better.
Have you see the little bottle of pearls? I find it too cute ...

You will see on the next two photos that I cut the Chipboard " Shabby Layered Frame " in two, after altering it.
I paint them in gold, then I put cracked varnish and I added white paint for the part of bottom.
Then for the pattern above, I did the reverse, gold on white.

Blue Fern Studios products I've used:
Paper
Marketplace
chipboards
Shabby Layered Frame
Story, Fairytale, Magic
Imagine ink embossing powder
Snow
Lavender Eggs
Stamps

Late Winter Lilies

So there it is! Hope you like it.
Thank you for stopping by!
See you in may, for another layout.

Creating Memories With The Blue Fern Memoires Paper Collection By Renea Harrison

Hello everyone, and welcome to my November Blue Fern Studios Design Team Reveal!
I am kicking off November with 3 projects that I created using the new Blue Fern Studios Paper Collection-Memoires.
This first layout is an example that I created for the Blue Fern November All About Titles Challenge, and for this project, I went with a Fall theme. I used a wedding photo that I added my husband and my initials to for a fun take on my romantic style. My husband and I have been together for 30 years and I am still crazy in love with him!!

I took a piece of the Memoires Songbird's Drama Paper, and used it for the bottom layer, I then took a second layer of the same paper and fussy cut out the column piece along the side and the bird and flower piece at the bottom and added them on with foam tape to add a 3D effect to my layout.

I then added burlap for a Rustic Chic look and

took a piece of  the Memoires Paper from the collection, tore out a section, crackle painted it then inked over the crackle for YUMMY finish. I added that then placed my photo on top. I then added areas around the photo with the crackle paint and inking to add depth and pull in the fall colors of the photo.

I wanted to show a close up of the Crackle Detail, so that you can see how much depth and detail it adds.

I tucked a Blue Fern Scalloped Boarder Chipboard Piece  that I heat embossed with Imagine Ink Honey Embossing Powder, then randomly dabbed the piece with a clear ink dabber and heat embossed those areas with Imagine Ink Nutmeg Embossing Powder.
Next I added a Blue Fern Studios Wild Flourish Bundle Chipboard Piece that I heat embossed with 3 different colors of Imagine Ink Embossing Powder; Sage, Clover, and
Oatmeal. Adding on various Mulberry Paper Flowers and tucking in a burlap string bow.

Here you can see the detail that 3 different colors of embossing powder gave the piece.

I added flowers to the 3D column piece,

and flowers to the bottom 3D cutout.
The handcrafted butterflies are my Fall Leaf Butterflies and they added a perfect touch to the Fall theme of my layout.

I added more flowers and another burlap string bow to the photo corner.

And for my "Title" to complete the Blue Fern Challenge,  I used the Blue Fern True Story Chipboard Piece from the True Story, Big Drama Set. I first inked the piece and then took a marker and highlighted the letters to make them stand out.

Blue Fern Studios Supply List:
Memoires Paper Collection:
Memoires
Songbird's Drama

Chipboard:
Scalloped Boarder
Wild Flourish Bundle
True Story, Big Drama Set ( I used True Story Sentiment)

Imagine Ink:
Sage Embossing Powder
Clover Embossing Powder
Ginger Embossing Powder
Nutmeg Embossing Powder
Oatmeal Embossing Powder
Honey Embossing Powder

For my second, November, Blue Fern Studios Project, I created a layout showing how you can use the Memories Paper Collection, along with Blue Fern Chipboard, and Imagine Ink Embossing Powders to create a Masculine layout.
The photo is one of my husband and his Dad when they were younger, and is one of those rare photos since they both do not like to be photographed, so I cherish it and keep the original on my mantel at home.

The bottom layer is a piece of  Memoires-Tales Of Treasures Paper that I spray stained the edges on. I added a torn, corrugated board strip down the middle that I spray stained, and inked,

and then I stamped around the board piece with a Blue Fern Studios Coarse Fabrics Stamp, and then heat embossed with Imagine Ink Ebony Embossing Powder for a nice, grungy effect.

I used a set of Blue Fern Studios Splattered Circles Chipboard, layering them together to form a perfect showpiece for my photo. I clipped the photo on with a metal clip and then topped it with a metal dream key.

The detail on the circles was create using layers of Imagine Ink Embossing Powders that include: Ebony, Peacock, and Nutmeg. I also added some black microbeads, creating a gorgeous texture!

I then cut apart some Blue Fern Studios Chained Bits Chipboard, heat embossed the pieces with Imagine Ink Ebony Embossing Powder, and added them randomly to my layout. I added on 2 metal clips to the top and bottom corner pieces, then cut out some sentiment pieces from the bottom strips that you cut of the papers ( they are the titles of the papers) distress and inked those and then clipped them into the clips.

With Masculine layouts, I don't like to use flowers or a lot of  "fru-fru" so here you can see how using those Blue Fern Products can really help you to create a gorgeous piece with a lot of detail and texture without a lot of the stuff that you would use on a feminine piece.

Blue Fern Studios Supply List:

Memoires Paper Collection:
Tales Of Treasures

Chipboard:
Splattered Circles
Chained Bits

Stamp:
Coarse Fabrics

Imagine Ink:
Ebony Embossing Powder
Nutmeg
Embossing Powder

For my 3rd Blue Fern Studios November project, I have a Vintage~Romantic style Pocket Journal to share with you. I used the new Memoires Paper Collection for this project and I just love how those gorgeous papers with the Calling Card Pieces make putting together a piece like this a snap!!

I started with a Sewn Pocket Folder Base, and then layered on Memoires Chronicle Paper on the front and back. Cut out some sentiments from the Calling Cards Paper and clipped them to the top.

I then took a Blue Fern Studios Looped Frame Chipboard (I used the medium from the Set), and heat embossed it with Imagine Ink Garnet Embossing Powder, randomly dabbed it with a clear embossing ink dabber and heat embossed those areas with Imagine Ink Pearl Embossing Powder.
I then cut out some Memoires Grand Sequel Paper and backed the frame with that, adding inked corrugated board and topping that with my Vintage Image.

I added scalloped lace to the bottom, fussy cut out the typewriter and bird image from the papers and added that with foam tape for a dimensional effect. I then topped the image with some flowers along with a Attic Charm Daisy.

I fussy cut the little bird in the pocket watch from the Memoires Calling Cards Paper, punched a hole and added a metal chain with link and topped the piece with some more mini roses. I atatched the piece with Velcro so that it can be removed and one can journal or add a small photo to the back.

Here you can see all the tuck ins that I created with the Memoires  Papers and Calling Cards, that can be used for journaling and small photos as well. The pieces include:
2-Large tags topped with lace, hand dyed seam binding bows and timeless buttons
2-Medium Pull Outs topped with hand dyed seam binding bows and mini roses
3-Smaller pull outs
2-small "tickets"

And here is the back side.
